In line with our Buyers Representation Initiative we are pleased to welcome all property finders and buyers agents in the UK and Overseas to participate in the Buyers Agents Network.

The Buyers Agents Network combines lead generation, member referrals, pre-market property access and marketing opportunities to help boost your income as a property finder or buyers agent and in doing so provides the essential service of buyer representation to more homebuyers throughout the UK and to those who buy property overseas.

Listed below are the key components of the Buyers Agents Network.  

Buyers Enquiries 

We carefully screen all buyers enquiries generated by our marketing efforts, and encourage them to use the services of our members. We then match these buyers with appropriate agents in the network on a geographical basis and according to the buyers other property search requirements. Buyers Agents Network will charge a fee for converted leads which will be reinvested to perpetuate more leads for agents in the network.

How the referral process works

We speak to each buyer to ensure that their enquiry is genuine and gather their property search requirements including their budget, status, property search criteria and the location of their search. We then match these details with the specifics of our member agents and send the buyer a shortlist of the most suitable Buyers Agents so they can see your details and credentials.

You will also receive details of the buyer and their search requirements by email so you can contact them directly. We ask that you respond within the same working day if possible so that we can provide a fast and efficient service to every buyer that uses the service.

If you are successful in gaining an instruction from a buyer that we send to you then we will stop marketing the buyer’s details to other network members and you will be required to pay a lead fee to Buyers Agents Network. This is paid in two parts: £150 on instruction, and then 20% of the purchase/success fee earned from the client on completion. Lead fees will then be reinvested into the Buyers Agents Network to perpetuate more leads and more services for member agents.

To ensure quality of service we speak to each buyer at some point after passing their details to our member agents, this enables us to obtain client feedback and also track converted leads that have been generated by our referrals service.

Member to Member Referrals

Earn additional income from referring buyers that you can't service yourself to other members of the Buyers Agents Network. We encourage all members to pass leads that they are unable to handle through the APFBA referral service. Any leads that are then converted will earn you a commission of 10% of the purchasing/success fee earned by the receiving agent on completion of the property purchase.

There is a significant lack of awareness and use of Buyers Agents in the UK compared to Europe and the US. In the US well over 50% of the population use a buyers’ agent to assist in the purchasing process. The APFBA has been set up to create greater awareness of the value of their services amongst the property buying public.

Promoting Professional Representation for Buyers

The APFBA’s key roles include providing best practices and guidance for buyer’s agents while actively campaigning to ensure the property buying public get equal professional representation to vendors during the property sale transaction. The APFBA will give buyer’s agents and property finders/search agents the credibility of being part of a professional body and the opportunity to promote qualifications through its membership. Buyer Referral Service: APFBA members are offered premium membership of the Buyers' Agent Network which carefully screens and qualifies all buyer leads generated by the APFBA and our marketing and portal partners and encourages buyers to use the services of our members. The Buyers Agent Network receives enquiries from property buyers around the world looking for buyers agents who are considered trustworthy and professional. Each enquiry is verified over the phone with the property buyer to make sure they are ready to buy, and is then offered to any of our members who are able to service the enquiry. APFBA Consumer Marketing Tools: Our promotional materials include brochures, use of our logo, newsletters, Code of Practice, marketing and technology aids and more to help you promote yourself locally to property buyers.

Promoting Best Practices

The APFBA approved member seal

The seal shows buyers that the buyers agent has been vetted and approved by the industry’s association and that they adhere to a strict code of practice when providing their services. When they see the seal on their website, emails or marketing literature, buyers can be confident they are dealing with an experienced and professional property finder or buyers agent.

Access to training and professional qualifications

Until now there hasn’t been any formal training or professional qualifications that buyers agents could take to equip themselves with best business practices. Members can now take the BAC (Buyers Agent Certfication) qualification to train as a buyers agent. The BAC designation is the hallmark of achievement, awarded to APFBA members who complete a certification program comprised of three parts: experience, education and service to the industry. The BAC mark of excellence is the only industry designation focused on representation of property buyers.

The opportunity to enter our annual awards event
